The amount you can save through Samsung's trade-in program in the USA varies by several factors, including the model you're trying to trade in and the phone you're trying to buy at a discount.
Usually, older phones don't have much value, but at the moment, the Galaxy S22 Ultra and the Galaxy S23 Ultra are valued surprisingly high, especially for prospective Galaxy Z Fold 7 buyers.
Here is a perfect example of how trade-in values can vary widely between models.
If you want to exchange the Galaxy S22 Ultra for the Galaxy Z Flip 7, Samsung USA will cut you a $170 discount.
However, if you exchange the same Galaxy S22 Ultra for a Galaxy Z Fold 7 instead, you're looking at a much more substantial $600 price cut on the foldable phone.
Even better, if you want to replace your Galaxy S23 Ultra with the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Samsung USA offers you a huge $800 trade-in discount.
What's really odd is that a newer phone like the Galaxy S24 Ultra will only net you a trade-in discount of up to $405 on the Galaxy Z Fold 7.
It seems Samsung USA really wants to put the Galaxy Z Fold 7 in the hands of Galaxy S22 Ultra and Galaxy S23 Ultra users who are looking for a trade-in deal.
These unusually big discounts could be a fluke, or they might be enhanced for a limited time. After all, it's Black Friday week. But if you've been waiting for an opportunity like this, you might want to act fast.
If you can still take advantage of these offers upon reading this, you can buy the Galaxy Z Fold 7 for as low as $1,399 if you have the S22 Ultra for trade or as low as $1,119 if you want to exchange the S23 Ultra. These surprisingly good trade-in deals may never be outmatched.
