We are just two months away from the possible announcement of the Galaxy S26 series. Among other things, the upcoming phones from Samsung will offer improved camera quality. A new leak reaffirms how exactly the company plans to improve things with the Galaxy S26 Ultra.
Reliable tipster @UniverseIce has published an image on X that reportedly shows file properties of an image captured using the Galaxy S26 Ultra's primary camera. The phone is said to feature a 200MP primary rear camera with an F1.4 aperture, which allows the sensor to capture more light compared to the Galaxy S25 Ultra's primary rear-facing camera.
The phone still uses the ISOCELL HP2 sensor, which is a 1/1.3-inch sensor with 0.6μm pixels. It can capture 10-bit and 12-bit RAW images. With the help of features like Dual Slope Gain (DSG) and Smart ISO Pro (iDCG), it can capture images that have a high dynamic range. The sensor features pixel binning and can capture 12.5MP, 50MP, and 200MP resolution images.
Based on leaks and reports, the Galaxy S26 Ultra has four rear cameras:
The Galaxy S26 series is expected to use the same 12MP front-facing camera that is used in the Galaxy S25 series. However, it appears to have a wider camera cutout, which could improve the image and video quality. The upcoming phones could also have improved processing, thanks to their more powerful chips (Exynos 2600 or Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5).
All the phones in the lineup could also support the APV (Advanced Professional Video) codec for higher quality videos and improved editing and post-processing capabilities. They could also have improved image stabilization (EIS) and lower noise, offering a better overall camera performance.
