As such, it hasn’t released the October 2025 security patch to many devices till now, even though the month is about to end. Well, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and the Galaxy Z Fold 6 are no more among them.
Samsung has released new software updates for the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and the Galaxy Z Fold 6. These updates bring the October 2025 security patch, which fixes many security issues. Currently, Samsung is rolling out the updates in Europe.

Samsung recently released the One UI 8.0 (Android 16) update for the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6, introducing several user interface refinements and new features. It’s been barely a month since that rollout, but the company is already preparing to upgrade both foldables once again with One UI 8.5, which will bring an even newer design and additional features.
Samsung is currently in the early stages of developing One UI 8.5. The update was originally expected to debut alongside the Galaxy S26 series in January or February, followed by a wider rollout to eligible devices. However, with the reported delay of the Galaxy S26 lineup, the release of One UI 8.5 appears to have been pushed back as well.
