Your Mahindra Electric Origin SUV digital key now works in Samsung Wallet

Samsung Wallet has Digital Car Key support, enabling users to unlock and start their cars using the digital key on their phone, as long as their vehicle supports this feature and has enabled it for Samsung's wallet app.

Galaxy device owners in India can now use the digital key for their Mahindra Electric Origin SUVs in Samsung Wallet, as the support has now been confirmed.

Samsung announced the roll out of Digital Car Key support for Mahindra Electric Origin SUVs in Samsung Wallet today. Those who own the vehicle will now be able to lock, unlock, and start their vehicle without needing a physical key.

The company has said that this functionality will work on select Mahindra eSUVs and will be rolled out soon across India. Biometric or pin-based user authentication is required for access to be enabled using the digital key. Digital car keys can also be shared with friends and family for a limited time to provide access as needed.

In the event your phone with the digital car key is lost or stolen, it can be remotely locked and the data, included the Digital Car Key, wiped using the Samsung Find service.

Samsung Wallet already has Digital Car Key support for some of the world's leading car brands. Earlier this year, it picked up support for Mercedes Benz vehicles. It has had support for select Audi cars since 2024 and even longer for brands like Hyundai and Kia.
