Galaxy A33 and A53 get One UI 8 update in more countries

Samsung is expanding the availability of the One UI 8 update for its popular mid-rangers from 2022, the Galaxy A33 and Galaxy A53. The two phones received the update in Korea a week ago, and they are now leaving One UI 7 behind in Europe. The One UI 8 update will probably go live in more regions this week.

If you own a Galaxy A33 or A53, you can identify the update by the build numbers A336BXXUEGYI8 and A536BXXUHGYI9 respectively. To download it, head into the phone's Settings > Software update menu and hit the Download and install button.

This marks the final major OS upgrade for the Galaxy A33 and Galaxy A53. Both devices launched with One UI 4.0 (Android 12) and were promised four generations of OS updates. Next year, they will likely receive One UI 8.5, after which Samsung will provide only security updates.
