One UI 8.5 quick panel gives you absolute freedom to rearrange it as you wish.
Reading time: 2 minutes
One UI 8.5 is shaping up to be a bigger update than One UI 8.0 both visually and functionally. One of the big changes is the ability to heavily customize the quick panel and move toggles and widgets anywhere you wish, and in the video below, we can now show you this new quick panel customization in action!
On the new quick panel, there literally is no restriction on what goes where. You can also change the size of widgets like brightness and volume and switch between a horizontal or portrait orientation for them. Again, the freedom you're getting here cannot be overstated; in fact, now you can even delete every single toggle and widget from the quick panel, and we can easily see some users getting overwhelmed when they start customizing.
We're still digging into One UI 8.5 to see what else is new with the quick panel and the update in general, but one thing is certain: this update will bring substantial changes to many aspects of One UI. We will explore those thoroughly and will be bringing you along for the ride, so stay tuned!
Everything is customizable
An empty quick panel is also an option
If you're wondering if your Galaxy phone or tablet is eligible for One UI 8.5, we have a list that you can check out here. If your device is getting One UI 8 (Android 16), it will most likely get One UI 8.5, even if Android 16 is its final major OS upgrade.
