Samsung's new foldable phones are impressive pieces of technology. They have a svelte design, bigger screens, and faster performance. And people seem to have taken a liking to them, as the company has received record-breaking pre-orders for the Galaxy Z Flip 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE, and the Galaxy Z Fold 7 in India.
Samsung has announced that it received 210,000 pre-orders for the Galaxy Z Flip 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE, and the Galaxy Z Fold 7. This happened within just 48 hours after the pre-order period started for these new phones. This is close to the pre-orders the company received in India for the Galaxy S25 series earlier this year.
Even though foldable smartphones from Chinese brands such as Motorola, OnePlus, OPPO, Tecno, and Vivo are available in India, Samsung has successfully achieved this huge milestone, which is impressive and showcases Samsung’s strong brand reputation.
The Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE is priced at INR 89,999 (~$1,044), while the Galaxy Z Flip 7 costs INR 109,999 (~$1,277) in India. The Galaxy Z Fold 7 costs a whopping INR 174,999 (~$2,031). During the pre-order period, buyers can get a free storage upgrade.
The South Korean firm launched its first foldable phone, the Galaxy Fold, in early 2019. In 2021, it managed to ship 10 million foldable phones. However, after that, sales of its foldable phones started to plateau and then they fell. So, receiving record-breaking pre-orders for the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and the Galaxy Z Fold 7 must be a positive sign for the company.
