A thin and light body is not the only thing that is impressive about the Galaxy Z Fold 7. It features bigger screens, faster performance, and improved cameras. Despite not being an Ultra-branded phone, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 comes with Samsung's highest-resolution primary camera, an improved ultrawide camera, and clearer selfie camera.

Let us take a look at the phone's camera specifications.

The Galaxy Z Fold 7 uses a 200MP primary camera with an F1.7 aperture, 0.6µm pixels, PDAF, and OIS. It uses a 1/1.4-inch ISOCELL HP2 sensor, which is the same unit used in the Galaxy S25 Ultra. It supports 4K 60fps and 8K 30fps video recording with EIS and 10-bit HDR. The phone also features a 12MP ultrawide camera with autofocus, a 10MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and OIS, and two 10MP front-facing cameras.

All the cameras on the phone support up to 4K 60fps video recording with EIS and 10-bit Super HDR (HDR10 and HDR10+).

Compared to the Galaxy Z Fold 6, the primary camera of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 can capture more finer details in varied lighting conditions. The 12MP ultrawide camera has autofocus, which lets you capture more detaild macro shots. It was missing on the Galaxy Z Fold 6's 12MP ultrawide camera.

The 10MP inner selfie camera is fitted into a punch hole-shaped cutout. In comparison, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 features a 4MP under-display camera. The newer camera is 2.5x clearer and has a 17.6% wider field-of-view.

It would have been great if the Galaxy Z Fold 7 had a 50MP telephoto camera, but may be that will come next year with the Galaxy Z Fold 8.
