Samsung has detailed the June 2025 security update right on schedule. We'll see the latest patch being rolled out to all eligible devices in the coming days. The monthly updates bring fixes for key vulnerabilities, and it's no different with the latest release.
These monthly security patches don't just fix vulnerabilities in Samsung's own software. They also include patches that Google includes in the monthly updates it releases for the Android OS to fix any vulnerabilities in its mobile platform.
Samsung has fixed 19 vulnerabilities in its software through this patch. This includes an exploit that enabled attackers to gain access to data in Samsung Cloud for Galaxy Watch, an exploit that let attackers take screenshots on a Galaxy Watch, and one that enabled them to make devices discoverable on Bluetooth.
Dozens of high risk vulnerabilities found in the Android OS have also been fixed in this release. There were no critical or moderate risk vulnerabilities identified or fixed in the June 2025 security patch made available by Google. Several patches from Samsung Semiconductor are also included in this release.
Samsung has teams dedicated to rooting out vulnerabilities in its software. Some exploits are also privately disclosed to the comapny by independent security researchers. Samsung offers generous bounties of up to $1 million, incentivizing researchers to discover and safely report any exploits before they can be used to harm users.
