Earlier this week, Samsung released the beta version of its Android 16-based One UI 8.0 and made it available for the Galaxy S25 series. Now, it looks like the brand is going to extend the One UI 8 beta program to the Galaxy S23 series as well.
Samsung, on its Community forum for Germany, has created a page for the Galaxy S23 series One UI 8 Beta Program (via Tarun Vats). It suggests that the brand may soon release it to the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra.
The tipster also points out that the brand hasn’t created the same for India, Korea, Poland, the UK, and the US, suggesting that these regions may not get it. However, it doesn't completely rule out the possibility of Galaxy S23 getting One UI 8 in these regions.
Samsung’s Android 16-based One UI 8.0 isn’t as big of an upgrade as Android 15-based One UI 7.0 is. Most likely because Samsung is focused on rolling out the update quickly rather than adding more features to it, probably to prevent repeating the same mistake it did with One UI 7.
That being said, One UI 8 still offers many new features, including those related to improving convenience, productivity, security, and user experience. You can check the complete list of features it offers here. So, yes, you should be excited for One UI 8.
