Galaxy A26 is official with water resistance and other upgrades

On the outside, the Galaxy A26 shares its design language with the A36 and A56. It has a flat frame with a Key Island and carries its rear-facing cameras inside an oblong housing.

For the first time in the series, the Galaxy A26 adopts a Gorilla Glass Victus+ back panel and IP67 dust and water resistance.

The Galaxy A26 will be released in four colors: Black, White, Mint, and Peach Pink. The phone is also thinner than its predecessor, featuring a 7.7mm profile instead of 8.3mm.

Galaxy A26 specs, upgrades, and software

The Exynos 1380 chip beats at the heart of the new low-cost phone. Memory options include 6/8GB of RAM with 128GB of storage and or 8GB+256GB of storage.

The microSD card slot was upgraded and now supports cards of up to 2TB. The battery has a 5,000mAh capacity and supports 25W charging.

Samsung upgraded the low-cost device with a larger display. The Galaxy A26 is equipped with a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED panel that has an Infinity-U camera design. Speaking of cameras, the Galaxy A26 is equipped with:

• A 50MP main shooter with OIS, AF, and an f/1.8 aperture.
• An 8MP ultra-wide sensor with an f/2.2 aperture.
• A 2MP macro camera with an f/2.4 aperture.
• A 13MP f/2.2 front-facing camera.

On the software side, the Galaxy A26 ships with Android 15 and One UI 7. Of note are features like Circle to Search, Object Eraser, and Filters for the camera.

In line with the rest of the 2025 A series announced today, the Galaxy A26 will be supported with up to 6 OS upgrades.
