Samsung fans are looking forward to the Galaxy S22 Ultra for many reasons. Leaks have shown that the device essentially looks like a Galaxy Note phablet. It also has an internal silo to carry the S Pen. This is one of the biggest changes that Samsung has made to its Galaxy S series.

The company also has a habit of introducing new camera tech with its top-of-the-line flagship. It has now emerged that the Galaxy S22 Ultra may rely on artificial intelligence to let you capture super fine 108-megapixel shots.

Galaxy S22 Ultra may introduce new camera tricks

It's already known that the Galaxy S22 Ultra is going to have Samsung's 108-megapixel sensor. The company is going to further expand its potential with a new AI-based detail enhancement feature.

According to a purported camera UI screenshot from the Galaxy S22 Ultra, a button for this feature will appear in the lower right hand corner when the camera is in 108MP mode. This is where you'd usually find the Scene Optimizer button.

@UniverseIce claims that if this feature is used, the AI spruces up the 108MP shot with more details, colors and brightness. How much of that is actually true can only be seen once we put the handset through its paces.

They may not be an entirely new feature. For all we know it may just be an enhanced iteration of Scene Optimizer which more or less does the same thing. That being said, there's no harm in holding out hope that the Galaxy S22 Ultra may have new camera tricks up its sleeve.

Samsung hasn't confirmed as yet when the Galaxy S22 series will be launched. A rather concerning rumor this week has predicted that the Galaxy S22 launch may be delayed due to supply china issues.
