The Frame becomes the centerpiece of another real-life art exhibition

Of all the Samsung Lifestyle TV models, The Frame focuses the most on a natural viewing experience and imitating paintings and photos through its Art Store, interchangeable frames, matte finish, and high-quality QLED 4K panel.

To demonstrate once again that The Frame can imitate art, Samsung partnered with GFX Challenge Grant 2022 winner Jan Mayo to host a Frame-enabled art exhibition at the National Museum of Natural History in the Philippines.

Last week, The Frame became the centerpiece of Jam Mayo's Faces and Flora: A Philippine Native Plant Photography Exhibition. The Frame is used to display Jam Mayo's art pieces at the Museum of Natural History, where attendance is free. Visitors can view the art gallery and witness The Frame's capabilities until May 31.

What makes The Frame qualified for these art events?

The Frame embodies the idea of an artful design that can blend into its environment. It has a frame, just like a painting would, which can be customized with different materials and designs. The matte finish is another important piece that allows The Frame to pass as a painting or photography. This element minimizes glare and reflections on the screen.

And then, there is the QLED 4K panel, which offers 100% Color Volume in the DCI-P3 color space. The last piece of the puzzle is the Art Store, which offers thousands of art pieces that can be downloaded by Frame users onto their TVs. These digital art pieces can be purchased individually or accessed through a subscription to the Art Store.

The Frame's Art Store often receives new artworks from renowned artists and museums, allowing users to enrich their living spaces and give meaning to their Frame smart TVs even when they're not in use. The Frame will always have something interesting to showcase rather than turning into a black rectangle when turned off. And even though other TVs can do a similar thing through screen savers, The Frame does it best, by far.

Interestingly, Samsung also announced The Music Frame at CES 2024, which is a speaker designed to look like a square album art cover. It doesn't have a screen but can complement the smart TV. So far, The Music Frame hasn't found its way into art galleries and exhibitions.

SolarCell remote is great but costs premium TV buyers a metal finish

SolarCell remote is great but costs premium TV buyers a metal finish

Samsung's TV remotes went through a few evolutionary phases in recent years, and we seem to have arrived at a point of consistency across different TV lineups. What I mean by this is that every 2024 mid-range and high-end TV model launched so far comes with the same remote, i.e., the SolarCell. That includes 4K […]
