Apple is developing six new iPad models, and three among them are the new iPad mini (7th generation) and the new iPad Air (6th generation) in two screen sizes. A recent leak claimed that the Cupertino-based tech giant will launch the 7th-generation iPad mini in 2H 2024 and the 6th-generation iPad Air in Q1 2024. While Apple has yet to debut these iPads, today we have information about the iPad mini and the iPad Air models that will arrive even further in the future.

According to a new report from ETNews, Apple will launch an iPad mini and an iPad Air with OLED displays in 2026. Currently, there’s no information about the generation of these tablets (or their names). The publication, however, claims that this iPad mini model will have an 8.7-inch OLED screen, a 0.5-inch increase over the current and the upcoming model, which have an 8.3-inch display. The iPad Air, on the other hand, is said to feature a 10.9-inch OLED screen, the same size as the current and the next model.

Reportedly, the OLED displays on the iPad mini and the iPad Air will feature LTPS technology, which means that the refresh rate of these screens might be limited to 60Hz. Apple is also working on new iPad Pro models, and those tablets too are expected to feature OLED screens. However, the report from ETNews suggests that OLED displays on the 11-inch and 13-inch iPad Pro models will have LTPO technology, allowing those panels to hit a 120Hz refresh rate.
