Samsung has announced that it has signed a MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) with Naver Cloud to accelerate the growth of smart office buildings worldwide. The partnership was signed at NCloud Space, which is Naver Cloud's headquarters in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, South Korea.

The companies said that smart office buildings have become the need of the hour to improve productivity. It is now becoming important to integrate and manage several smart services and smart devices into buildings. To that end, Samsung is planning to offer a service to manage such services and devices to B2B (Business To Business) customers, starting with the integration of SmartThings, 5G, and Naver Cloud to the Naver 1784 headquarters building in South Korea. Through Naver's partnership, it aims to bring ‘Calm Tech' to devices, solutions, and services that link with each other efficiently.

Samsung and Naver Cloud plan to build a system that goes beyond smart office buildings and reaches user-centric building control, energy access, and security management. The two companies will start offering specialized packages for businesses and promote joint sales. They are planning to offer these services to office buildings in South Korea and then expand them to other countries globally.

Naver Cloud is famous for its products, including AI, Digital Twin (signed by the Saudi Arabian government), and robots, and those features will be integrated into Naver 1784, which is Naver's second most important building. Since 2022, Samsung has been making efforts to bring specialized devices and services to each business division through the establishment of its ‘B2B Integrated Offering Office'.

Kang Bong-gu, VP of Samsung Electronics Korea, said, “Naver Cloud, which has high competitiveness in the AI, robot, and cloud fields, and Samsung Electronics, which has the No. 1 technology in B2B-specialized products, solutions, services, and 5G networks, have collaborated to create an excellent solution. We plan to lead the next-level future intelligence office building market by creating the best customer experience and value.
