With the expected January 2024 launch of the Galaxy S24 series merely months away, it's no surprise that the rumors and leaks are picking up. We've started seeing the devices pop up more frequently on benchmarking websites like Geekbench, providing us a little glimpse into the expected performance figures of this next-generation lineup.

The Korean variants of the Galaxy S24 Ultra and the Galaxy S24 have now been spotted on Geekbench. As we've known for some time now, the Galaxy S24 Ultra is likely to be powered exclusively by an overclocked variant of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. The Galaxy S24 will use Samsung's new Exynos 2400 chipsets in most markets with only a handful getting the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.

Bearing model number SM-S921N, the Geekbench listing of the Galaxy S24's Korean variant shows a single-core and multi-core score of 2051 and 6204 respectively. It also appears that the Exynos 2400 chipset of the Galaxy S24 will be paired with 8GB of RAM.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3-powered Galaxy S24 Ultra, model number SM-S928N, has a single-core and multi-core score of 2214 and 6744 respectively. No surprises there that it'll come with 12GB of RAM. We've discussed before that based on this results, it appears that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy has a 100MHz higher clock speed for both the CPU and GPU compared to the standard chipset that other manufacturers will use.

These figures alone don't provide the full picture about the performance of Samsung's next-generation flagship lineup. For that, we'll need to get our hands on these devices. Given the considerable CPU and GPU boosts the new chipsets boasts, we can reasonably expect the new handsets to be significantly better than their predecessors, in addition to providing enhanced AI functionality.

Rumor has it that Samsung is planning to unveil the Galaxy S24 series on January 17, 2024 in San Jose, California.
