    Samsung monthly updates: November 2023 security patch fixes 65 security flaws

    Samsung started rolling out the November 2023 security update to its smartphones a few days ago. However, it did not reveal which security flaws have actually been fixed with its new security patch. Now, Samsung has revealed more information about its November 2023 security patch for Galaxy phones and tablets.

    Samsung's November 2023 security patch fixes 65 security flaws

    According to Samsung's security bulletin for November 2023, its new security patch fixes 65 security flaws found in Galaxy smartphones and tablets. Of these 65 patches, 48 patches came from Google, while two patches came from Samsung Semiconductor. Samsung MX (Samsung's smartphone division) fixed 15 security flaws. Of all the patches included in the November 2023 security patch, five are marked critical, 55 are marked as high priority, and three are marked as moderate.

    Vulnerabilities in the buffer overflow, arbitrary input, certificate validation, access control, arbitrary code execution, arbitrary file descriptor write, and buffer size check logic of several functions have been fixed by Samsung.     The November 2023 security patch has reached a few Galaxy phones, but more devices are expected to get this update before the end of this month. Samsung is also rolling out the stable Android 14 (One UI 6.0) update to the Galaxy S23 series. More Galaxy phones, including the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S22, Galaxy Z Flip 3, Galaxy Z Flip 4, Galaxy Z Flip 5, Galaxy Z Fold 3, Galaxy Z Fold 4, and the Galaxy Z Fold 5, will get the stable Android 14 update after testing is complete.
