You can save a pretty penny on Samsung 870 EVO SSD storage

With the holiday shopping season just around the corner, Samsung has many deals on more or less its entire product lineup, from Galaxy smartphones, tablets and wearables to Neo QLED or lifestyle TVs and storage solutions. Speaking of the latter, the 870 EVO SATA SSD is a great budget-oriented storage solution from Samsung, and now, for a limited time, it's cheaper than usual.

Samsung is cutting the price of the 870 EVO SSD with 500GB, 1TB, 2TB, and 4TB of storage. You won’t save much when buying the 500GB variant — only a couple of bucks or so — but then again, you might not want to buy a brand-new SATA SSD with only 500GB of memory, to begin with.

Thankfully, Samsung is more generous when it comes to the bigger storage variants. You can save 25% off the 1TB model and buy it for $66.49 instead of $92.99.

Save even more by buying extra storage

The 2TB 870 EVO SSD is available for $129.99 rather than $161.99, which means buyers can save 20%. But the best discount of 27% is available for the 4TB 870 EVO, which now costs $229.99 instead of $312.99.

The 870 EVO SSD maximizes the SATA interface limit up to 560/530 MB/s sequential read/write speeds. And for peace of mind, the 870 EVO benefits from a 5-year warranty.

Hit the buy button below to check Samsung’s latest offers and buy a new SSD for your laptop or PC. And keep in mind that, even though this is a SATA internal SSD, there are plenty of third-party solutions on the market that allow you to use an internal SSD as an external drive for phones, tablets, gaming consoles, or other devices that have a USB port.

The Galaxy experience can be messy for first-time users

Some say it's always better to have more options, but it's never as clear-cut as it sounds. This design philosophy doesn't always work, and more importantly, it isn't a magical shortcut that can patch everything up and always lead to a better user experience. On the contrary, if not handled properly, I believe the “more […]

Buying a low or mid-range Galaxy phone is getting confusing again

A few years ago, Samsung went on a crusade to abolish the confusopoly it inadvertently created by offering too many choices in the low and mid-range Galaxy phone market segments. The company disposed of the Galaxy J series and simplified things. It focused solely on a few Galaxy A models, and in markets such as […]
