Last month, Instagram launched Threads, its X (formerly Twitter)-like social networking platform. Back then, it was available only via its Android and iOS apps. However, the company has now launched the web version of its social networking platform, which means anyone with internet access can use it.

Threads is now available on the web. You can use any web browser and navigate to Threads.net to use the social media platform. You will be able to look at posts, interact with them, and post your own threads. Since it is the first version of the web app of Threads, it looks a bit barebones, but we could soon get more options in the coming months as the company brings parity between its smartphone apps and the web version.

The announcement of the arrival of the web version of Threads was made by Instagram head Adam Mosseri. Similar to the smartphone app, the web version of Threads has five tabs: Home, Search, Post, Notifications, and Profile. You can like, repost, or send a thread. You can comment on it. You can even unfollow a profile or report a thread.

There is also a For You / Following switch on the bottom left corner of the screen. It lets you switch between a version of the feed that's curated for you or a version comprising only posts from profiles or users you're following. You still can't edit your profile or send posts to Instagram DMs from the web. The social media platform is still unavailable in European (EU) countries due to privacy issues.
