Google is bringing a lot of improvements to its search products. Apart from Bard, which was announced a few days ago, Google is also planning to improve Google Lens and bring AR to Google Maps. With the upcoming version of Google Lens, you can search for information based on anything that's visible on your Galaxy smartphone's screen.

As Google put it, “if you can see it, you can search it,” anything that's visible on your Galaxy smartphone or tablet's screen can be used to search for information on the web. For example, if you're watching a video and come across a building or a product, you can summon Google Lens and find more information about it. Google Lens can search for information about books, buildings, car models, food recipes, product labels, products, personalities, or any images containing searchable information.

This announcement was made during the Google Live From Paris showcase event. During the same event, the company announced Multisearch. This feature is live for the global audience, letting them search for an image and a string of text for additional context. However, the star of the show was Google Search's Bard feature, which is in beta right now. It is ChatGPT's competitor and offers you the information in long text format based on the search query.

Google Lens is now pre-installed on most Android smartphones, including Galaxy phones and tablets. So, you can use this feature as soon as it goes live in the coming months.
