After Flipkart teased the launch of the Galaxy F42 5G earlier this week in an obscure banner, the online retailer went ahead and officially announced the smartphone online. A landing page for the upcoming device is now live at Flipkart, and it confirms the overall design and most important features.

The Galaxy F42 5G is a “Full-on Legend.” This is the buzzphrase Flipkart is using to promote the device, and the promotional page is sprinkled with the words “legend” and “legendary.”

    Galaxy F42 5G confirmed specifications

Flipkart confirms that the Galaxy F42 5G is equipped with an FHD+ display capable of a 90Hz refresh rate, a triple-camera set up featuring a 64MP primary camera capable of night mode, and a 5,000mAh battery.

The smartphone also benefits from rich 5G support in India, as it's compatible with up to 12 bands for uninterrupted nationwide 5G access.

Samsung and Flipkart gave the Galaxy F42 5G a slightly more unique camera housing design, but on the other hand, the screen has an Infinity-V notch, which is quite common for low-cost Galaxy phones.

Flipkart hasn't revealed any pricing details for the Galaxy F42 5G, but it will launch the phone on September 29, so stay tuned.
