    Samsung debuts a Snapdragon version of the Galaxy Book 2 Pro 360 laptop

    Earlier this year, Samsung unveiled its high-end convertible laptop, the Galaxy Book 2 Pro 360. It features Intel's 12th Gen Core i5/i7 processor, a Super AMOLED display, and an S Pen. Today, the company has released a newer version of the laptop, and it features Qualcomm's ARM-based processor.

    The ARM version of the Galaxy Book 2 Pro 360 went official in South Korea today. It features the Qualcomm 8cx Gen 3 processor that was unveiled a few months ago. The South Korean firm has worked closely with Qualcomm to bring optimized hardware and software for this new laptop. The Adreno GPU inside this laptop supports DirectX 12 and is 60% faster than the one in the Snapdragon 8cx Gen 2. However, the company didn't reveal if it's any faster (or slower) than the GPU inside the Intel version of this laptop.

    Thanks to the Qualcomm chipset, the Galaxy Book 2 Pro 360 has some amazing wireless connectivity features, including 5G and Wi-Fi 6E. The laptop also meets Microsoft's Secured-Core PC requirements for enhanced data protection. It has one three USB Type-C ports, a microSD card slot, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Other features include a backlit keyboard, dual-4W stereo speakers, a 1080p webcam, Bluetooth 5.2, a fingerprint reader, and Dolby Atmos.

    The Galaxy Book 2 Pro 360 has a 13.3-inch Super AMOLED display with Full HD resolution and a 360-degree hinge mechanism. So it can be converted into a tablet. Since it supports the S Pen, it can be used to draw, jot down notes, and more. The device is just 11.5mm thin and weighs just 1.05kg. Samsung says that its battery lasts 30 hours of video playback on a single charge. The rest of the specifications of this laptop remain similar to the Intel version.

    The Galaxy Book 2 Pro 360's Snapdragon 8cx Gen 2 version costs KRW 1.89 million ($1,500) in South Korea. It will go on sale in the country starting January 16, 2023, in the Graphite color.
