Following its European release late last month, the Galaxy A71 is headed for South America, and it's now launching in Brazil for the price of 2,799 Real or the rough equivalent of $644. Customers can pick between three color options including Prism Crush Black, Prism Crush Silver, and Prism Crush Blue.

What you'll get for $644 is a generous 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a pixel count of 2400 by 1080 and an embedded fingerprint scanner, a Snapdragon 730 octa-core chipset paired with 6GB of RAM, a 4,500mAh battery with 25W fast charging, and Android 10 with Samsung's latest One UI version out of the box.

Get ready for quad cameras with a macro lens

Samsung is truly stepping up its mobile camera game this year and its efforts are showing across the board, from the beastly Galaxy S20 Ultra to more budget models like the Galaxy A01, whose rear-facing setup comprises two cameras.

The Galaxy A71 is one of Samsung's latest smartphones to boast a dedicated macro camera for close-up photography enthusiasts. The sensor has a resolution of 5 megapixels and an f/2.4 aperture. The rest of the assembly includes a 64-megapixel f/1.8 wide shooter, a 12MP f/2.2 ultra-wide camera, and a 5MP f/2.2 depth sensor, while selfie enthusiasts rely on a 32MP unit with a similar f/2.2 aperture.

At the time of writing this story, the Galaxy A71 is not yet listed online on Samsung's website in Brazil, but product pages for Galaxy A71 silicon cases already exist and the smartphone itself should pop-up momentarily. Are you planning on buying it once it goes live?
