  • Samsung has started rolling out the stable One UI 9.0 update for the Galaxy A16 after closing its beta program.
  • The update is live in South Korea for both the 4G/LTE and 5G models, with wider availability expected in the coming days.

Last month, Samsung opened the One UI 9.0 (Android 17) beta program for the Galaxy A16, giving its users early access to the new software. After releasing three beta versions, the brand has closed the program and released the stable version of its latest custom Android interface for the phone.

From what we could gather, the brand is currently rolling it out for the phone's 4G/LTE as well as 5G variants in its home country, South Korea. The updates for the two carry firmware versions A165NKSU9EZJ3 and A166LKSU8DZJ5, respectively (via Mohammed Khatri).

Samsung should release the stable One UI 9.0 update for the Galaxy A16 in other countries over the next few days. When it does, your phone will notify you about it. If it doesn't, you can check for the availability of the new firmware by going to Settings > Software update > Check for updates.

One UI 9.0 offers a slightly more refined design for a few UI elements, more Quick Panel customization options, upgrades to Samsung DeX, Samsung Notes, and accessibility features, and a location privacy indicator. You can check some of them out in action in our video below.
