The Galaxy Tab S9 units in Samsung’s home country, South Korea, are getting a new software update. It brings the July 2026 security patch, which fixes 57 security issues. The update is 382.46MB in size and carries firmware version X91xNKOS6EZG3 (via @Alfaturk16).
We expect the brand to release the update in other countries over the next few days. Once the company makes it available in your region and for your device, your tablet should automatically notify you about it. If it doesn’t, go to Settings > Software update > Check for updates.
Samsung launched the Galaxy Tab S9 with One UI 5.1 (Android 13) and promised to offer it four major OS upgrades. So far, the brand has offered three, and the tablet is running on One UI 8.5 (Android 16 QPR2).
It means that the device is eligible to get one more major update. That should be the company’s next Android skin, One UI 9.0 (Android 17). It offers a plethora of new user interface customization options and new features.
