Samsung is expected to launch its next lineup of flagship smartphones with foldable displays next month. It is expected to offer three devices: Galaxy Z Fold 8 (Wide), Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, and Galaxy Z Flip 8.

A previous report about the Galaxy Z Fold 8 claimed that its inner and outer screens will have the highest sharpness among all the Fold devices yet. Now, we have a leak about the display sharpness of the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra.

On X, a popular tipster, Ice Universe, claims that the screen of the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra will have “significantly enhanced” resolution. The tipster didn't specify whether they were referring to the cover display, the foldable display, or both. They also didn't clarify what device they were comparing the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra against. However, since the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is Samsung's current flagship foldable, it is reasonable to assume that the claimed improvement is relative to that model.

On the Galaxy Z Fold 7, the pixel density of the outer screen is 422 PPI, and that of the inner screen is 368 PPI. If you follow the smartphone industry closely, you may know that these pixel densities mean that the content on these panels will look very sharp. While there was no need for Samsung to offer displays with higher sharpness, it would be a welcome change, something that would give it an edge over its competitors. On a related note, the wallpapers for the Wide model were recently leaked.
