In January, Counterpoint Research revealed that Samsung sold the highest number of TVs among all the brands globally in 2025, making it the number one TV brand worldwide for the 20th consecutive year. Now, the South Korean tech giant has made it official.
Samsung has announced that, according to Omdia, a market research firm, it had a 29.1% share in the global TV market in 2025, the highest share among all brands, making it the number one TV brand globally for the twentieth year in a row or two decades back-to-back.

Samsung says that it also led the TV segments priced above $1,500 and $2,500 with a 52.2% and 54.3% market shares, respectively. However, in the previous report, we also learned that TCL is closing in on the South Korean tech giant very fast. On a related note, the brand launched its lineup of OLED TVs for 2026.
Commenting on this achievement, Samsung’s President and Head of Visual Display Business, SW Yong, said, “When consumers choose a TV, they’re choosing a brand they can trust for years to come. Our 20-year leadership in the global TV market reflects that trust — built on decades of engineering excellence and premium innovation.”
