The latest software update for the Galaxy Z Fold 4's unlocked US version comes with firmware version F936U1UEU1CWAC. Apart from One UI 5.1's new features, the new software also brings the February 2023 security patch that fixes plenty of security vulnerabilities. The update is currently available on AT&T, Bluegrass Cellular, C Spire, and US Cellular networks. Galaxy Z Fold 4 units on other US network carriers could get the update within the next few days.
To update your Galaxy Z Fold 4 to One UI 5.1, you need to head over to Settings » Software update on your smartphone and tap on Download and install. Alternatively, you can download the new firmware file from our database and flash it manually.
One UI 5.1 brings an easier way to choose selfie color tones, Expert RAW compatibility, improved search in the Gallery app, Shared Family Album, and an easy way to view and edit EXIF information of image and video files. You can easily minimize apps or switch to full screen by dragging the corners of the app's window. In split-screen multitasking mode, frequently used apps are displayed first. Samsung DeX gets better split-screen window size adjustments.
The One UI 5.1 update also brings widgets for battery charge levels of the phone and connected accessories. The Weather app also gets a new dynamic widget. The Weather app shows all the relevant info in the first fold and also shows hourly precipitation information. Tabs open in the Samsung Internet browser on the phone can be accessed on a paired Windows PC. You can also select the folder where you want to save screenshots.
