Latest Galaxy M20 software update improves charging performance

Last updated: April 17th, 2019 at 13:37 UTC+01:00

Samsung has released a new software update for the Galaxy M20 in India to improve the phone’s charging performance. The changelog for the update doesn’t go into specifics, nor have we heard anything about charging issues on the device, but if anyone had been facing any on their M20, this update will hopefully get things back to normal. In fact, considering Samsung has pushed this update with last month’s security patch, the charging improvements are likely serious enough for the company to have rushed the update out the door.

The Galaxy M20 has received impressive software support since its launch, and it has also proven to be a massive hit for Samsung in the Indian market thanks to a combination of impressive features and an attractive price tag. One of those features is the 5,000 mAh battery under the hood and another is fast charging support, which was never seen on a budget Galaxy smartphone before the Galaxy M20. Samsung later launched the Galaxy M30 with a couple of upgrades over the M20, including a Super AMOLED display and a third rear camera.

If you own a Galaxy M20, you can download the update from the Settings » Software update menu by tapping Download updates manually. The update is a 73MB download over the air and comes with software version M205FDDU1ASD1.
