India is an important market for Samsung. The company produces devices locally to be competitive on price as it faces intense competition from rivals. To underscore the importance of this market, Samsung Mobile boss DJ Koh was present today at the launch event in New Delhi.
All that was to be revealed about this device was already done on February 20 in San Francisco. So there's obviously not much in the way of “news” from this event. The company had even confirmed the pricing earlier when it opened up pre-orders for the device.
The Galaxy S10e's lone 6GB/128GB variant in Prism Black and Prism White has been priced at Rs. 55,900 in the country. Samsung isn't offering the 8GB/256GB variant of this handset just yet. The 8GB/128GB Galaxy S10 in Prism Black and Blue starts at Rs. 66,900 while the 8GB/512GB variant costs Rs. 84,900. It will only be sold in Prism White.
Samsung is selling the Galaxy S10+ with 8GB/128GB configuration for Rs. 73,900 in Prism Black, Blue and White. The price goes up to Rs. 91,900 for the 8GB/512GB in Ceramic Black and Rs. 1,17,900 for the 12GB/1TB in Porcelain White.
Customers can purchase them starting March 8 through Samsung's website, Paytm Mall, Amazon India, Flipkart, Tata Cliq and offline stores. Pre-order customers will start receiving shipments from today. Samsung is offering customers promotional pricing for the Galaxy Watch and the Galaxy Buds as well.
