[Updated] SamMobile 5.0 is live! – We welcome your feedback about our new design
We invited our readers to try out SamMobile 5.0 two weeks ago. It’s the new site design that we have been working very hard on and are now proud to announce that SamMobile 5.0 is now live for all our readers. The idea behind this new design is to modernize our look so that everything looks cleaner and shaper while retaining absolute focus on quality content.
The design is now more consistent across the different sections of the site, this includes our firmware and device databases as well so that it’s easier for our users to navigate the site and find what they’re looking for. We have paid special attention to improving the experience for mobile devices.
We would love hearing your feedback about SamMobile 5.0 so do share your thoughts about the new design with us in the comments below. While we have worked diligently over the past couple of weeks to eliminate them all, if you spot any bugs, drop us a line as well.
Update: We have taken note of the comments and realize there are a few mistakes and bugs. Our technical team will be working all week to fix them, and we are also discussing how to make things better for the frequent readers of our news stories by making the necessary changes to the homepage.

I have come back after a week and still hate this new look, why the heck did you change it, before it was simple layout easy scroll, now stories with pics of different sizes are loaded and located all over my PC web page….BRING BACK OLD VERSION.
Clearly you have and are losing users.
My feedback for mobile site; Comment section could still use improvement. The phragraph blank is quite huge. I can see only 1.5 comment per page using Samsung Browser on S7 edge. Site overall could go to the edges a little bit more both in terma of content and text. I didn’t like the dark grey colour, old theme was more strong and memorable (blue). Sam mobile tab section is blue but site theme is dark grey, I think they don’t go well together. And overall text and the titles are quite big and site looks kind of inefficient. I feel… Read more »
After using this site for a few days in have noticed a few things with my experience.
1. I m actually not checking in as often as the new design makes it very clunky experience in getting updates on news. It’s off putting with the huge pictures and actually offering little content. Need to reduce the size and offer more news and not limit to 3 before having to click link for more
2. The number of comments per news has disappeared
1. Post regarding our new homepage will be up today.
2. This will be back in June / July as well 🙂
Yes, it is bloody awful, sorry guys, but whoever approved this new look needs their head read.
About the new design: I liked it so much! The itens are so much flatter, a modern identity, wich matches with other interfaces (like Microsoft interface, for Windows, Office, and others). About the bugs, something which was anoying me was the news page problem, while clicking next page, but I noticed you guys fixed it, and now it’s awesome! One thing I’d like to point is about the devices page: in the previous version, the devices were shown in order, from most recent to less recent, and I liked it very much. It’s not bad, but it looks like I’m not logged in but I actually am. Very wierd. But guys the firmware section is a horrible mess. You really need to fix that. The whole design of the page is terrible. I understand that there will always be issues to fix like the login/sign in area, but that firmware section, I can’t understand how you accepted that. Btw, not having the news banner on top is a bad move. It should be part of the new design. So, overall, though it’s not bad, the old one was much better for navigation.… Read more »

When we click on next page in news feed, it is not loading next page. Only page number changes and everything else stays the same.

I’m sorry to be so blunt, but it’s a mess. I thought it was a given that save for a title frame, articles should be in coherent linear listing format to be readable. Also clicking to the next page still doesn’t work. Also why not allowing Disqus for comments?
Is it Oreo 8.0, or just crap? I cannot login, and I cannot preview available updates for the S8+.
Font sizes and ui arrangement are too big for note 8. It’s more difficult for browsing
You have a point there. I noticed it on my Note8 too, and that’s a big phone. I wonder how it looks on even smaller screens..

Same here, can’t login through mobile version. Clicking over Login only refresh the page, be this the main or any article.
The new design doesnt seem very clean. Pictures in black boxes on a white background, and every box in a different size. Looks more like the site is broken…
And it’s really sad that you can’t see the amount of comments on the news overview.
I’ve Just visited and it’s taken me 20 mins just to find this post regarding changes to your site. Personally i find it both confusing and messy, posts seem to be all over the place with no clear flow like the old one. Some might be happy but i’ll not be back if it stays like this, I was quite happy as it was to be honest and change it not always good.

I can’t advance pages in the News section. If I click “next page” I simply get page 1 refreshed. Going to any page is the same result. It shows a new page numerically, but not the content, that stays at page 1. I’ve tried multiple browsers and it’s the same in all of them (on a Mac). I don’t mind the new layout, but it doesn’t appear to be functionally complete, at least in News.
We will fix this asap.
I think you mean ‘cleaner and SHARPER’ not Shaper in text above?
Frankly I think it is a mess, and judging by comment your ‘beta’ testing leaves a lot to be desired. why would you bury new news?…don’t you look at what you post would it not automatically be at the top by default?, good grief who did you pay to design this re-fresh.
