Samsung Pay has transformed into a major differentiating factor for the Galaxy smartphones in the recent past. The convenience Samsung Pay offers is far better than any other mobile payment solution currently available in the market, and the same is reflected in the positive response the service has received in all the markets where it is available.

    More convenience and security

Samsung has constantly been adding new features to make Samsung Pay even more useful and popular. Paying for purchases online is one such feature Samsung has added to its service in select markets. According to media reports, the company is now bringing this functionality to its users in the UAE to mark the first-year anniversary of Samsung Pay in the region.

So far, Samsung Pay users in the UAE were able to payments only at in-store PoS terminals, but with the new feature, the service can be used to make online payments as well. The new option allows users to handle payment requests on supported apps and websites through Samsung Pay, offering more convenience and security.

Samsung has partnered with regional payment gateway providers like CCAvenue and Mashreq Bank to enable this functionality. Samsung Pay’s online payment option is compatible with all the major operating systems, browsers, and mobile apps. Essentially, any app or website in the UAE which supports CCAvenue and Mashreq Bank payment gateways should work with the new service.
