A devoted XDA Member, who operates under the handle satishtony, has released a do-it-yourself theme engine called themeDIY, which has been designed exclusively for Samsung smartphones running an official firmware build based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow or later—so you can use it on not only the firm's flagship smartphones, but also its entry-level offerings.

themeDIY provides you with the tools to create a unique theme for your smartphone, without rooting it. There are currently more than thirty-five overlays for system applications and ten for third-party clients. There's also a universal selector for a Light or Dark theme, as well as a thousand pre-defined color schemes. Not bad for a free tweak, right?

How do I make a custom theme using themeDIY?

The creation process couldn't be simpler. The first step to building a theme using themeDIY is selecting colors for system and third-party applications, decide on the necessary overlays and build it. Once that's done, all that's left to do is activate the theme using Trial and, if you want to keep your creation saved on your handset, disable the stock Theme Center.

themeDIY is available to download from the Play Store.
