By now, you're probably well aware that Samsung has taken the wraps off the Galaxy Note 8. We've already pitted the handset against its ill-fated predecessor, the Galaxy Note 7, and now we're following suit with the Galaxy S6 edge+.

There are a couple of instant differences: the Galaxy Note 8 features an improved processor, an Infinity Display and a more capable dual-camera configuration—but that doesn't necessarily mean all Galaxy S6 edge+ customers will want to upgrade.

Until we publish our review, we won't know whether the Galaxy Note 8 is worth its astronomical price tag. That doesn't mean we can't pit it against the competition (if you consider a two-year-old smartphone a worthy competitor, that is), though.
