Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ top consumer ratings in the US

Samsung’s latest smartphones, the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+, earned top ratings in a recent US consumer smartphone review, reveals The Investor. The handsets received 82 points each in the Consumer Reports survey, which was the highest number tallied, followed by the Galaxy S7 edge with 77 points. The LG G6 came in fourth.

It’s believed that the firm’s ability to bundle top-notch cameras, gorgeous displays and hefty batteries in its smartphones is the reason they “excel at nearly everything” and are a clear favorite among consumers. Its flagship devices are also competitively priced, offering impressive internals for a somewhat modest fee.

For those unaware, the Galaxy S8 is Samsung’s current leading smartphone. It packs a 5.8-inch Infinity Display, an Exynos 8895/Snapdragon 835 processor, 4GB of RAM, a 12MP rear-facing camera and a 3,000mAh. The Galaxy S8+, on the other hand, sports almost identical internals, though it has a larger 6.2-inch panel and a 3,500mAh cell.

We’d love to know: did you pick up a Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8+? If so, be sure to let us know where you’re based, what color variant you opted for, how long ago you purchased it and whether you are pleased with how it’s performing in the comments section down below, or over on Facebook or Twitter.

I got my S8 4 days ago from Samsung (i work for mobile company). I had S7 EDGE and it was perfect. I get to chose betvene S8 and S8+ and i chose S8 for it size. Sorry to hear your having problems with the s8+. Thankfully my s8 had had no such issues and am absolutely in love with this phone. I still use nova on my other Samsung phones and might eventually use it for the s8 but really enjoying touchwiz on the s8 helped in part by the nougat/grace ux updates. A beautiful phone that I still admire each time I hold it. Samsung had really refined its phones through the years Including its A and J lines.

I had mine since launch on 20th April and I am sad to say that even after a factory reset last month, it still performs poorly, and I am aware that is not the most common thing. Most people report excellent performance but I am disappointed that I seem to have a faulty device, and Samsung are not likely to replace it. When it wants to… it performs excellently, but every now and then there is a considerable lag in locking the device, or unlocking it, or closing and opening an app. got the S8+

I think that after the 3rd time giving it for a repair they should exchange it or give you a protocol which says that the device needs to be replaced from the place you bought it! That happen to me 1 year ago with the S6… Hope i helped you!

Hope to God you are right because I cannot stand taking things in for repair. As soon as you open a device up you risk so much, not least the IP68 protection

I’m in South Africa, I upgraded from the S6 edge to the Orchid Grey S8+ in the first week of May. I LOVE this phone, the size of the screen, comfort of the device in hand, and the camera makes it the best device I’ve ever used. Over the years Samsung has truly refined and improved on it’s own UI to a point where I don’t bother with other launchers.
