Verizon is now pushing out last month's security patch for the Galaxy Note 5. As outlined on the firm’s Security Blog, the upgrade — N920VVRS3CQD1 — addresses a total of 49 Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) in the Android OS and an additional 16 patches for Galaxy-branded smartphones.

As is usually the case with these things, the update is making the rounds in stages and seeing as it has to reach quite a few devices, it could be a while before it arrives on your Galaxy Note 5. To see if the OTA is ready, open up Settings, then select the relevant option from the Software Update section.
