Bixby to be released in Germany in Q4 2017

Samsung’s new AI-powered digital assistant Bixby debuted with some cool features on the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+. It goes up against Apple’s Siri and Google’s Assistant. However, Bixby’s third-party app support seems limited to just a few partners as of now. Moreover, it is currently limited to English and Korean languages, but that will reportedly change later this year.

According to a new report from our partner GalaxyClub, Bixby will be available in Germany sometime in the fourth quarter of this year. This information appeared in the FAQ section on Samsung’s official website where a consumer had inquired regarding the Bixby’s availability in Germany, and the South Korean smartphone giant replied saying that it would be available sometime in Q4 of 2017.

The publication also points out the possibility of Samsung releasing Bixby in Germany along with its next flagship smartphone, Galaxy Note 8, since the smartphone would be released in the same time frame. There’s currently no information regarding Bixby’s availability for other markets around the world.

Don't miss This is what Bixby can do on the Galaxy S8

Q4 2017 in Samsung terms equals Q1 2018 in human terms. If a big language like German gets Bixby that late, we’re probably looking at 2025 for the small Nordic countries … 🙁

It’s called competition, Google has to invest and improve to stay infront of the curve.
But as we have seen with Alexa which beat Google already when it comes to home voice assistant buyers.

Bixby is available in all markets, but only available in those languages. If you are fluent in English (US), Korean or Mandarin you should have no trouble using Bixby. I’ve seen in stores here in the UK. Why have a dedicated button if its not going to be available on the phone?!

I really enjoy my s7 edge, but in terms of software updates it´s just a disastrous kind of a mess. I paid the full 799€ for it but Samsung is not capable to release security updates on a regular basis (even every two months would be enough).
Maybe I´m going to save a lot of money and go with a One Plus smartphone next year.
