T-Mobile releases March security patch for the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge
T-Mobile is sending out a new firmware update for the Galaxy S7 and the Galaxy S7 edge. Since both handsets have been updated to Android 7.0 Nougat there’s no need to expect a major upgrade. It’s actually just the latest security maintenance release for last year’s flagships that T-Mobile is now rolling out for users on its network.
The minor update weighs in at 51MB and is now live for last year’s flagships on T-Mobile’s network. It brings the March security update for both handsets, the security update includes fixes for dozens of vulnerabilities in Android OS as well as the vulnerabilities that Samsung found in its software.
Firmware version G930TUVS4BQC1 and G935TUVS4BQC1 is now being rolled out for the Galaxy S7 and the Galaxy S7 edge respectively. T-Mobile is rolling out the update over-the-air so it may be a while before it’s made available to all users on its network.
Those who don’t shy away from manually flashing their handsets can also find the relevant update files over at our firmware section for the T-Mobile Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge.

I just checked my T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S7 and the March security update hasn’t reached the Netherlands yet. If got stil the first release Android 7 G930FXXU1DQBQ TNL.
Samsung Note 4 (DBT..) got a plus 400MB update yesterday – anybody knows; why so big?
My S7 edge BTU is still stuck with January security patch March is already ending.
What’s happening?
Time to move on to another ROM. I flashed BTU for faster updates but looks like XSG might have been a better option.
Conspiracy theory: Samsung will be pushing an update with the new S8 UX on S7 and S7E and that’s why they’re holding off.
Too early for a new UX change it’ll probably be 7.1.1 and announced same time as s8 and Samsung pay UK hopefully
They are holding their chairman hands, so he wont cry ๐
Funny how the S7 BTU is luft behind now. It was first with beta and Nougat. And now its last.
IT is the most easy to make an update too, and yet, they dont give us the small security patch.
Well, oneplus can be bought in denmark at a store now. So this is it, for me with Samsung.
Going to buy the 3T and going to upgrade it to 7.1.1 ๐
