McAfee VirusScan comes pre-installed on the Samsung Z2

Samsung launched its new Tizen-powered smartphone just yesterday. To assure Samsung Z2 owners of security, Samsung has pre-installed McAfee VirusScan from Intel on the device. Tizen already has many security features at the operating system level to protect users against malware and other threats, additional security at the software level is always welcome.

Intel Security has confirmed that the Samsung Z2 comes pre-installed with the McAfee VirusScan app. This anti-malware solution already helps secure millions of Android devices against malware and it will now do the needful on Samsung's latest Tizen smartphone. In an era when new mobile malware grows by leaps and bounds every quarter and there are more than 305 new threats every second as mentioned in a report by McAfee labs, it's important to have systems in place that do their best to protect you and your data on the mobile device.
