T-Mobile releases new firmware update for the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 edge

Just yesterday T-Mobile released the much awaited Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update for the Galaxy Note 4. It certainly took its time in bringing Marshmallow to this handset. Today the company is rolling out a new firmware update for the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 edge. Since both devices have already been upgraded to Marshmallow this is an incremental update only.

T-Mobile has updated the Galaxy S6 to software version G920TUVU4EPF1 and the Galaxy S6 edge to G925TUVU4EPF1. Both feature an anti-theft update, various bug fixes and improvements as well as the all-important June security patch for the handsets. The update files weigh less than 250MB and are now being rolled out over-the-air for the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 edge on T-Mobile.
