Galaxy Note 4 gets June security patch, battery improvements in new update

Either the Galaxy Note 4 is extremely vulnerable to security threat since it received Marshmallow or Samsung is simply making up for all the time it ignored its fourth Galaxy Note flagship. Either way, the Korean giant seems to be focusing on the Galaxy Note 4 when it comes to monthly Android security updates – the Note 4 was the first device to get security fixes for the month of April, and it is now getting an update with the security patches from May.

The update is rolling out to the European model (SM-N910F) in various regions, and in addition to bringing the phone’s security patch level to June 1, 2016, it also brings improvements to battery usage, memory management and performance, and general stability. The build number for the update is N910FXXS1DPE6. You can grab the update over the air by heading into the Settings » About device » Software update menu on your Note 4, or by downloading the full firmware from our database.

Got the update 2 days ago as well in LUX. 336,81MB and the only thing that’s new is the June security patch. For all that’s more I don’t notice anything different.

All the little bugs I had are still there.

Any knowledge if Samsung will finally condescend to fix the horible bugs with fingerprint reader mentioned a few weeks back?

What was the bug? My fingerprint reader does not work for unlock with Good Lock, but otherwise I have not noticed anything wrong. Did I miss it?

I have some problems since my note 4 got marshmallow, such as random reboots or overheating. I can’t seem to fix it. I’ve consulted so many tutorials but they haven’t helped.

Maybe in worst case wipe everything with TWRP, boot directly to download mode and flash the frimware through ODIN. maybe that way the root of the problem gets deleted – since I think you already tried a factory reset

Vibgyoar

Did you try a factory reset? I know it is a pain, and to be honest I have not had to do it on my Note 4 marshmallow, but it always seemed necessary when I updated the OS on my original Note.
