Samsung Gear Fit 2 goes up for pre-order in the US for $179.99

Samsung unveiled two new wearable health tracking devices, the Gear Fit 2 and the Gear Icon X, last week. Specifications and images of these devices were leaked well ahead of their official launches. Now, the Gear Fit 2 has gone up for pre-order in the US at a price that was mentioned during its unveiling.

The Gear Fit 2 is now available for pre-order in the United States through Samsung’s official web store for $179.99. Shipping is free, and it will take 7-10 days for it to arrive at your doorstep. Compared the its predecessor, the Gear Fit 2 comes with a better display, ergonomic design, GPS tracking, and a standalone music player.

The IP68-certified Gear Fit 2 features a 1.5-inch curved Super AMOLED display, a 1GHz dual-core Exynos 3250 processor, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage, and 200 mAh battery. The fitness band also features an accelerometer, barometer, gyroscope, heart-rate monitor, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 4.2.
