How to prevent your Galaxy S7 from automatically connecting to untrusted Wi-Fi networks

We've all been walking down the street flicking from webpage-to-webpage when all of a sudden they stop loading. The cause? Our smartphone has automatically connected to a Wi-Fi network that's requesting our mobile number so that we can enjoy a 30-minute free browsing session. Pretty annoying, huh? Yeah, we think so, too. Fortunately, Samsung has bundled a nifty feature on its latest smartphones, the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge, which enables users to prevent their handsets from automatically connecting to shady Wi-Fi hotspots and, instead, stick to trusted ones that have been used and approved in the past.

Here's how you activate it:

Open up Settings.
Tap on Data Usage.
Hit More.
Select Restrict Networks.
You will be presented with a list of all recognised Wi-Fi networks that you've used in the past. Select the ones you'd like to automatically connect to in the future. All others will be disregarded.

That's all there is to it. Now you should notice that your phone isn't connecting to just about any unlocked Wi-Fi network it's in proximity of.
