“Over the Horizon” is a signature Samsung Galaxy brand sound that many of you might be using as the ringer or the alarm. Samsung decided to spruce it up for the Galaxy S7 and the Galaxy S7 edge so the Over the Horizon sound you find in the new flagships has received a remake from Swedish jazz-funk outfit Dirty Loops. Samsung says this is the “danciest, poppiest version yet” of Over the Horizon.

Samsung says that the sound is as adventurous and playful as Dirty Loops and “as creative and full of potential” as the Galaxy S7 and the Galaxy S7 edge. Users will be able to listen to it in full via the Music app on their brand new Samsung flagship and if they haven’t got their hands on it yet, they can check out the video posted below to hear the new version of Over the Horizon which has also received a few lyrics for the first time. There are solos for drums, horns, keyboard and bass which make this a unique reinterpretation of a sound that has been synonymous with Galaxy devices for the past six years.
