Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 edge and Galaxy S7 edge+ might launch at the same time

We have been hearing a lot about how the Galaxy S7 will be offered in varying screen sizes, and one of the many rumors had said that the Galaxy S7 edge+ could launch at the same time as the Galaxy S7 edge. Recent leaks have suggested the Edge variant would be larger than the regular S7, but popular leakster Evleaks is offering evidence today that Samsung will launch all three models together.

Evleaks has published an image that shows what could be the official logos for the three devices (and maybe the full image has the phones above the names as well?). Given his track record, this can be taken as a huge indication of the fact that Samsung will go from launching two flagships at the same time to three, and it also supports the recent appearance of the Galaxy S7 edge on a benchmark with a 5.1-inch display. Launching a Galaxy S7 edge+ along with the smaller S7 edge could mean Samsung wants to focus all efforts on the Galaxy Note in the second half of the year, unless the company intends to make a few variants of the Note 6 as well.

We have continually been pointing out that all of these leaks should be taken with a pinch of salt, especially since they could be based on prototypes that won’t get the green light for release, but it would certainly be interesting to see Samsung coming out with three flagships at the same time. It’s great for those who like numerous screen size options, but the Korean giant might find itself sitting on unsold inventory if there isn’t enough consumer demand for all three S7 flagships.

What do you think? Is it a good idea for Samsung to be launching a trio of flagships at the same time, or do you think it’s something that will backfire? Let us

Would be surprising if Samsung launches a S7+ variant as well.

All the more reasons not to get a Galaxy S7. With so many variants I highly doubt Samsung is capable of supporting them all with all, especially when the next Android version rolls out. I don’t think the ‘Edge’ is particularly useful. I think people only buy it for the bigger battery life.

Hello Sammobile, are the blurry backgrounds found on 6.0.1 which were on the 6.0 like when you press on the home screen or hold the power off screen?

You can add the same additions to a flat screen as well in my opinion. But they won’t, because they can have more profit with an edge phone.

I agree with channel42x. If you look at the UX features they extend way beyond the actual edge.

I’m ready for the next Note. I like Note5 but it never felt like a true upgrade. I wonder whether S6/Edge/+ owners will feel that way? If anything this is like an S update so far …

The problem with Sammy is that they want profit only by selling myriads of phones in one year. I mean the S6 edge+ is only few months old and they want to release an S7+ so soon. They release too many variants of phones with different hardware and that’s the why their software and support of updates suffers so much. They rely purely on selling hardware. They should release fewer and focus more on supporting their phones better and longer. Can’t they simply copy a good thing from Apple? They copy all the rest and many of them are good… Read more »

So far everything seems to have backfired on Samsung, but I love my edge+ and nothing would make me upgrade to the S7 or any other phone. It’s the best phone on the market. Samsung want to change things up a bit. It’s the only way it can happen it might not be great this year but it may be fine in years to come.
