It was first reported a couple of months back that a new variant of the Galaxy S5 was in the pipeline, it’s called the Galaxy S5 Neo and information about its specifications has already been available for quite some time now. Recently the handset was listed at Dutch retailer Belsimpel’s website, it has now been listed at multiple online German retailers with a slightly updated design. The handset has a matte frame and updated pattern in a new dark blue color.

There’s a 16-megapixel rear camera, 2,800mAh battery and Android 5.1 Lollipop. Its dimensions and weight – 142 × 72.5 × 8.1 mm and 145 grams – is precisely the same as the original Galaxy S5. NOBODY was asking for this phone. What is their logic in releasing this abomination? They could put all of that effort into releasing timely software updates, fixing RAM management issues in their phones and optimizing their software further. My S6 is starting to lag…

People, stay away from this phone, Exynos 7580 is a very slow processor, it’s not even close to Snapdragon 801. Regular S5 is a much better buy.

It’s like they’re losing sleep if they’re not releasing phones.

Take the weekend off, Sams. Nothing will happen if you’ll release 500 phones this year instead of 600.
