Reading time: 2 minutes
A new speed test places both phones side-by-side in an attempt to see which device performs the fastest in terms of its speed. It may sound unbelievable, but the Galaxy S6 edge did outpace the iPhone 6, with the Galaxy S6 taking up 2 minutes, 9.55 seconds to open apps and the iPhone 6 taking 2 minutes, 17.45 seconds to open apps.
Some at the link below have responded by saying that the GS6 edge wins the contest because the iPhone 6 “doesn’t do real multitasking,” or that Android’s task manager setup helps Samsung’s device outrun Apple’s, but tests of this kind have been done for years with the iPhone winning the battle. Now, the tables have turned. While there’s more to a smartphone (and thus, the Galaxy S6 edge) than its speed, speed-hungry tech enthusiasts will find Samsung’s new speed to be yet another reason to buy the company’s latest.
