Gilded Galaxy S6 from Goldgenie will cost you a fortune

Last updated: March 18th, 2015 at 00:00 UTC+02:00

Samsung will be offering its new flagship smartphones, the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6, in various colors one of which is called Gold Platinum. That won’t be real gold. If one gilded in 24K solid gold is what you’re really after then Goldgenie has got you covered. This company has made a business out of gilding popular devices from manufacturers like Apple, BlackBerry, HTC and Samsung. It won’t be passing on the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 edge. Interested customers will have to pay around $2,500 for a new Samsung flagship in 24K Gold, Rose Gold or Platinum.

Goldgenie will start taking pre-orders for the gilded flagships from March 20. It expects to ship the first orders after Samsung releases the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 edge on April 10th.
