Sprint’s Galaxy Note 4 is now getting treated to Lollipop

It seems Galaxy Note 4 owners in the US are set to receive the Android 5.0 Lollipop update on all the major carriers this month. Soon after T-Mobile started updating the device to Lollipop, Sprint has started doing the same.

It’s unclear if the update has started rolling out yet, but Sprint’s support page says the rollout is slated to begin today, with the update carrying build number N910PVPU1BOB7. Like the T-Mobile variant, Sprint’s version of the Note 4 will get the usual features of Lollipop and also receive Wi-Fi calling enhancements.

Keep an eye out for the notification for the update on your Galaxy Note 4; you can see if the update is available right now by going into the Settings » About phone » Software updates menu and hitting the Check now button.

What an irregular update Lollipop “schedule” Samsung has. I love my Note 4 (SM-N910H), but definitely Samsung has a lot to learn from Apple. I understand the variability of devices facing the lollipop update, but almost a month of difference and may be more between one international Note 4 update and the other?? Devices 9.5/10, Services 6/10

G900H. After version 5.0 not probably to use phone. There is no mode without a sound, It is a lot of errors. If so will proceed, nobody will buy SAMSUNG phones

You should know that its the carrier who is to blame for the timely or late updates on the devices. In the USA Sprint is normally the first to release its update to their phones, so stop blaming Samsung for the updates as the carriers put on their bloatware on the devices.

So why do international, unlocked versions sold directly by Samsung not get updated?!?

… your link to what T-Mobile is doing is talking about the Note 3, not the Note 4. To my knowledge, T-mobile hasn’t started anything about the Note 4 yet.

What about Note 2?
Atleast start rolling out lollipop update in any of the regions…

alastairgreen_Nexus
alastairgreen_Nexus

Note 2 is always been the last if the rule is according to the current flagship as Note 4 should receive it first then S5 and Note 3 then S4 and Note 2

Nope, Samsung still does not update fast.

alastairgreen_Nexus

Don’t expect it or else switch to iPhone or Google Nexus if you really demand a fast updates, as Touchwiz needs OPTIMISATION!

it goes like this carriers want changes made or features blocked (at&t) then they add there apps then they test there apps then they give final build with there apps and changes to Samsung , Samsung pushes out final build to carrier, Carrier’s test final build with their approved changes again then roll out update

What about the note 2 ?

alastairgreen_Nexus
alastairgreen_Nexus

Note 2 should be the last one to receive because as the succession line dictates Note 4 then S5 then Note 3 and S4 and the last one will be the Note 2

By the time all the Note 4s are updated, Note 5 will be out. I thought these updates were going to get more timely. I guess not.
