A quick look at Samsung's sales numbers from the recent past and you're reminded that the company's best days are behind it… at least as far as smartphones are concerned. But what many fail to realize is the fact that Samsung makes more than just phones and tablets; the company has a thriving business outside of the two aforementioned avenues. In what is seen as a damage control measure, Samsung is investing another US$3.6 billion into a new OLED production line, according to Reuters. This will mean that Samsung is able to churn out more, and probably better, panels for its newer phones such as the Note Edge, and perhaps even some other third party vendors Samsung makes panels for.
